PARACHINAR, May 28: Recount of votes on disputed polling stations in NA-37, Kurram Agency was started on Tuesday on the directives of the election commission.

Residents said that prior to the recount of vote, the political administration imposed curfew in Parachinar town on Monday night. They said army and paramilitary forces were patrolling the streets as tension was running high in the area. There were reports that security forces fired warning shots when people tried to violate the curfew. Officials said recounting on 27 disputed polling stations was in progress and final result would be announced later. —Correspondent
