Man kills wife

SUKKUR, Dec 13: A man allegedly killed his wife in Ahmed Hassan Jaferi village within the remit of the Karampur police on Thursday. Saleem Jaferi allegedly shot dead his wife, Mai Hajiani, 25, in his house after suspecting her of infidelity.

The Karampur police took the body to the Civil Hospital Kandhkot for a post-mortem examination before handing it over to the heirs.

Razzak Jaferi, father of the suspect, lodged an FIR against his son at the Karampur police station.

Two die in accident

Two persons were killed and 15 others when a passenger van hit a motorcycle near Bakhshapur on Indus Highway late Wednesday night.

Wazir Ali Chachar, an activist of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, was on way to Bakhshapur on his motorcycle from village Asghar Khan Chachar when a speeding van hit the two-wheeler and then fell into a ditch.

Mr Chachar, and man sitting in the van, Muhammad Sharif Golo, died on the spot.

Fifteen passengers were taken to Rahimyar Khan Hospital, where four of them were stated to be in precarious condition.—BoC
