ATTOCK, Nov 3: Hazro police have arrested two brothers accused for killing their brother-in-law and injuring their sister on Friday, while the third brother remains at large.

The sub divisional police officer Hazro DSP, Syed Akbar Abbas, said acting upon the report filed by the deceased’s brother, a murder and attempted murder case had been registered by the Hazro police against three accused brothers, residents of Samah village.

The brothers had allegedly killed their brother-in-law, Raheem, and injured their sister, Shahnaz, in an attack on Friday evening.

Two of the accused were arrested while search for the third brother continues.

The couple had been attacked while going to the police station to attend a jirga to resolve the issue between both families after they married three month ago.

DSP Abbas said the injured woman was now in a stable condition at the hospital, and her statement would be recorded soon.

Names of the victims have been changed to hide their identities.
