ISLAMABAD, Sept 26: The capital police have busted a liquor and narcotics den in the capital’s rural area, a police spokesman said here on Wednesday.

Working on a tip-off, a police team at KRL Chowk intercepted a bootlegger’s vehicle and recovered 98 bottles of liquor and arrested the carrier.

During interrogation, the bootlegger revealed the location of a liquor and narcotics den running in a house located at New Shakrial in Shahzad Town police area. The police raided the house and confiscated 1,600 bottles of liquor along with 2.220 kg of charas.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat Police arrested two persons from Shahrah-i-Jamhuriat and recovered eight bottles of wine.

Similarly, the police raided a restaurant in G-10/4 and recovered liquor and 17 cans of beer from a Nigerian national.

Furthermore, the Anti-Car Lifting Cell and the Shalimar police have separately arrested two men for being involved in auto-theft and recovered a car and a motorbike from them.

The Nilore and Kohsar police have separately arrested two men and recovered the booty which includes 10 mobiles and a laptop.
