KARACHI, Sept 24: Two suspected bandits were killed in a police encounter in North Nazimabad on Monday evening, police said.

They said that two men were trying to escape after looting a couple near Sakhi Hasan when a police patrol intercepted them near the terminal of bus 2-K.

The police challenged the suspects who fired at the police. In an exchange of gunfire, both suspects suffered bullet wounds and died before they could be shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, said Gulberg division SP Latif Siddiqui.

The police claimed to have seized two TT pistols and looted valuables from the possession of the deceased.
