LAHORE, Sept 21: A man was killed and four others were injured in an armed clash between two groups in Manga Mandi on Friday.

The police said the incident took place at Talab Sarai when two locals Akbar Khan and Mushtaq Ahamd exchanged hot words over alleged relations of the latter with a girl.

Meanwhile, supporters of both rivals reached the scene, ensuing an armed clash between the two sides in which Akbar Khan and four others suffered bullet injuries.

The injured were shifted to a local hospital where Khan succumbed to his wounds. The other three men injured in the incident were said to be stable.

The police shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy and registered a case on the complaint of deceased’s relatives against the suspects.

No arrest has been made so far.
