LAHORE, Sept 11: A matriculation student was shot dead by his elder brother following a minor argument at Iqbal Town’s Umar Block on Tuesday.

The Gulshan-i-Iqbal police arrested the suspect and recovered the weapon.

Police inquiries revealed that Muzammil, a BA student, opened fire on his younger brother Tajammul after they quarreled with each other over domestic issues. Tajammul was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

Both brothers would often quarrel over sharing computer, said the police.

In another incident, 34-year-old Shabbir Dogar was shot dead by his neighbours Hamza and Sabir over a minor issue on Ghazi Road.

The Factory Area police said they quarreled over some issue.

SUICIDE: A teenaged girl and a young man committed suicide in two incidents here on Tuesday.

The Green Town police said 25-year-old Shahbaz was spotted shot dead at his bed. He lived in military quarters. The police found a pistol and a suicide note from the spot.

The Shahdara Town police said 15-year-old Muqadas also shot her self to death. She used her father’s weapon. Haji Khalid alerted the police about the incident.
