SHEIKHUPURA, Sept 6: Five revenue department employees were sacked by the DCO on Thursday due to their involvement in corruption.
Accused tehsildar Safdar Ali Sarwar, naib tehsildars Imran Hafeez and Sarfaraz Ali, Girdawar Abid Ali Abid and patwaris Wajid Shah and Mushtaq Ahmad will now face Anti-Corruption Establishment proceedings.
The accused were involved in the preparation of fake sale deeds and tampering with record.
DCO Kiran Khursheed ordered their removal on a nod from the Punjab Board of Revenue. — Correspondent
