LARKANA, Aug 28: Unknown kidnappers killed a livestock trader and threw his dead body in sugarcane crop on the outskirts of Naudero near the village of Manghan Jat on Tuesday.

My father, Ahmed Ali Lark, 65, had been kidnapped 23 days ago from a cattle pen in Ayoub colony and the kidnapers had demanded Rs3 million for his release, but the family could not arrange the money, said Mushtaque Lark, son of the deceased.

Failure to arrange the money had resulted into the murder, he said.

Relatives of the deceased took the body and demonstrated at the Naudero bypass. They were calling for arrest of the killers. Later the body was brought to Ayoub colony.

Mushtaque Lar alleged that despite registering an FIR against Moharram Shaikh, Raja Shaikh and others, Haidri police (Larkana city) had not taken any action.
