HYDERABAD, Aug 22: A four-year-old girl was subjected to criminal assault in Kotri on Wednesday.

She left home to buy something from a shop but did not return. Her father, a labourer, said that they mounted search for her and found her on roadside at Rafwa Mori in unconscious condition.

He said that she was taken to the Kotri Taluka Hospital from where she was referred to the Liaquat University Hospital.

He quoted a doctor of the Kotri hospital as saying that the girl had been subjected to criminal assault by two men.

The police have registered a case against two unidentified accused on the compliant of the girl’s father.

The Society for Protection of the Rights of Child, in a statement, has condemned the incident and called upon the government to bring the culprits to book.

The NGO also called upon the government to enact laws to curb child abuse.Our Mirpurkhas correspondent adds: A 13-year-old girl was criminally assaulted by a shopkeeper in Gulshan Colony on Tuesday.

The father of the girl has lodged a case at the Satellite Town police station, stating that his daughter had gone to a shop to buy something. The shopkeeper took her into a room of his house adjacent to the shop, where he raped her, he alleged.
