SHIKARPUR, March 27: A man Arsalan Manganhar was kidnapped from a village near here early Tuesday morning.

A group of eight armed men came at a fish pond near his village in the Naparkot area and whisked him away while he was asleep.

In the morning parents of the kidnapped person, along with the villagers demonstrated and blocked the National Highway in protest against the kidnapping incident. The road was cleared after one hour on police intervention.
