LAHORE: Residents from various areas of Lahore are facing numerous hardships due to unannounced load-shedding in the city since 4 am on Sunday, DawnNews reported.

Water supply in many areas had also been blocked due to the load-shedding taking place since morning.

People protested in many areas and raised slogan against the government and authorities. The current short fall between the demand and supply of electricity has reached 5800 megawatts.

Sources said that lack of water at Tarbela and Mangla dams created the electricity shortfall.
