LARKANA, March 14: An FIR has been lodged against seven persons for kidnapping and killing and later burying a young boy Amaar Hussain Jatoi here on Wednesday.

The FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Ammar’s father Azfar Jatoi. Those booked under section 365-A, 201, 6/7 ATA and 302, included: Abdul Ghaffar Brohi, Abdullah Magsi, Ali Magsi and Zahid Gopang. Three others have been declared unidentified.

The boy went missing from near his house in Shaikh Zayed Colony on March 9.

The kidnappers had sought Rs5 million for release of the boy and administered a heavy dose of tranquilisers to him to keep him quiet during captivity. But it proved fatal and the boy died.

On a lead given by Abdul Ghaffar Brohi to police, his body was exhumed from a rented house in Yar Moha-mmed Colony.

The kidnappers are in their 20s’ and had earlier been involved in mobile snatching, a police official said.
