LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani on Wednesday said that drone attacks carried out by the United States in the tribal region has no tacit approval from the PPP-led government.

Rabbani said the use of unmanned predators was allowed by the military ruler Pervez Musharraf.

While addressing a seminar here, the PPP stalwart said the Balochistan issue has become critical and stressed for the need to resolve the matter through negotiations with the Baloch leaders.

“The federal intelligence agencies working in Balochistan should work hand in hand with the provincial government,” he added.

After the passage of the 18th Amendment, he said, 85 per cent of resources had been shifted to provinces.
