Car-lifter nabbed

TAXILA, March 11: National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) foiled a bid to smuggle stolen car from Lahore to Peshawar and arrested the vehicle-lifter on Sunday.

Spokesperson for the NHMP Umar Shoaib told newsmen at camp office Burhan that during patrolling on Islamabad-Peshawar motorway (M-1), police intercepted a car (LEE- 2713) heading for Peshawar and arrested its driver, later identified as Mohammad Shafeeq Afghani. The accused was handed over to local police along with the seized vehicle for further legal action. — Correspondent
