BAHAWALPUR, Feb 28: The police claimed on Tuesday to have solved the blind murder of a trader and arrested three suspects.

Muhammad Imran was shot dead allegedly by three motorcyclists in a robbery bid at his brother’s shop on Railway Link Road around a month ago.

The Civil Lines police registered an FIR against unidentified robbers. On a tip-off, the police arrested Muhammad Ayub, Muhammad Fayyaz and Sabir, who admitted to their alleged crime.

APCA: Members of the All Pakistan Clerks Association (Apca) took out a rally to protest the alleged desecration of Holy Quran in Afghanistan by Nato personnel and for the acceptance of their demands.

The Apca members observed strike and assembled at district council office from where they marched up to Fowara Chowk.

Apca Punjab secretary-general Fakharur Rehman Azhar and others urged the Punjab government to review their pay structure in view of dearness and regularise the employees working on a contract basis.
