LAHORE, Feb 28: A man shot dead his 60-year old mother and 32-year old brother over a property dispute in Imam Bargah Street in Raiwind City on Tuesday.

Police said Mehmood Sajid opened fire on his mother Majeedan and younger brother Maqbool Ahmad after both sides got into an argument over a five-marla plot.

Quoting family, Raiwind City SHO Mehmood Ahmad said the accused gave Rs125,000 to his mother for the registry of the plot, but the process was not completed. He had been pressing his mother for the registry and his share in the plot.

On the day of the incident, Sajid raised his demand again and an argument ensued. Later, Sajid opened fire on his mother and brother, killing them at the scene.

Rs3.5m robbery: A gang of 13 dacoits looted cloth worth Rs3.5 million from a godown in Millat Park police limits on Tuesday.

Muhammad Nasar told the police that robbers entered his godown by holding watchman at gunpoint. They then tied him up with a piece of rope. He said the outlaws loaded bundles of cloth in a truck and sped away.

In another incident, three robbers barged into the house of Aamir Rashid in Qadri Town in Factory Area police limits and took away Rs250,000 and 13-tola gold ornaments, all worth Rs900,000.

Similarly, three robbers barged in the house of Mohsin in Hanjarwal police limits and looted cash and valuables worth 600,000.

Robbers also plundered cash and valuables worth Rs1.1 million from houses of Arshad in Raiwind, Afzaal in Sabzazar and Abid Javed in Samanabad.

Two robbers entered the office of Zahoor Shah in Chuhng police limits and looted cash and two cell phones at gunpoint while as many robbers looted cash and a cell phone from a general store in Shahdara police limits.
