PESHAWAR: A police check post situated in outskirts of Peshawar came under attack on Monday but no casualties were reported in the attack.

Sources said a rocket was fired from unidentified location at the Riaz Shaheed check post in the Surband area. Gunshots were also heard after the attack.

The check post, located near the Bara Tehsil of the Khyber Agency, had been targeted before several times.

Militants had changed their tactics and started targeting public places.
