ISLAMABAD: The counsel for Mansoor Ijaz on Thursday submitted the testimony of his client before a commission probing the memo scandal.

The documents, submitted by Akram sheikh, included records of e-mails, first draft of the alleged memo written by Hussain Haqqani, personal notes of the American businessman and his meetings with the high officials of the government.

According to the testimony, Ijaz met with the former Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief General Ehsan-ul- Haq in 2003 and with the former prime minister Shaukat Aziz in 2005.

He also met individually with President Asif Ali Zardari in Washington and the current ISI  Lt-Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha on May 5, 2009 and Oct 22, 2011 respectively, it added.

The testimony further mentioned the call records and messages exchanged between Haqqani and Ijaz during May 9 and May 12, 2011.

The records further revealed that 10 calls were exchanged between the two in the said period.—DawnNews
