The officials added that one of the victims, in his mid-40s, was found dead at a deserted place in DHA Phase VIII.

“No mark of torture was found on the body, but there was one visible on the head,” said a duty officer of the Darakshan police station.

He said the victim was wearing clean clothes. “A diary and some cash belonging to the victim have been seized.” However, no cellphone was found at the crime-scene, he added.

The police later shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination.

Following the medico-legal formalities, the body was shifted to the Edhi morgue for want of identification.

The other body found in a storm drain in the Shershah area was partially decomposed, police said.

“It seems the victim had been shot in the head about a week ago and his body had flowed through the drain along the Gul Bai area of SITE to the place where it was found,” said an official at the Shershah police station.

He said the police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. Later, it was taken to the Edhi morgue for want of identification, he added.

No FIR of the incidents had been lodged with the police till Tuesday evening.
