KARACHI, Jan 12: A scrap dealer was shot dead at his shop in a Bin Qasim area within the remit of the Shah Latif police station Thursday, police said.

Moraiz Khan Mehsud, 32, was at his shop, situated in Street 14 of Zafar Town, where unidentified armedmen pulled up and shot him dead.

They escaped following the incident, the officials said.

The body was later shifted to the JPMC for medico-legal formalities following which it was handed over to the victim's heirs.

The victim was father of three children, the police added.Shah Latif SHO Amanullah Marwat said the victim was a resident of Quaidabad and dealt in scrap.

He said during initial investigation it emerged that the victim had some personal enmity with Jallaad Khan.

However, he added that the investigation was under way and no case had been lodged yet.
