HYDERABAD: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Parliamentary Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr Farooq Sattar said that his party does not want a division of Sindh province and those who have been engaged in urban and rural discrimination are not sincere with the province.

Dr Farooq Sattar stated this while addressing a big public meeting at Kotri on Saturday night where prominent political personality of Jamshoro district Pir Zaman Shah Jilani announced joining MQM along with his followers.

Dr. Farooq Sattar said that Sindh is the land of founder of Pakistan and it played a key role in the creation of Pakistan and added the country will be weakened by neglect of this province. Sindh is generating 70 per cent revenue therefore the province should be facilitated according to merit, he said.

He said that MQM is the voice of Sindh and the party chief Altaf Hussain always raised his voice for the rights and interests of the province.

His party never talked about the division of Sindh, he said and added that it always struggled for the oppressed people of the province and the country.

He said that his party is organising a historic public meeting in Sukkur on January 20, 2012 and this gathering will send a message of solidarity, love, peace and affection to the people of the province.

Among others, Ashfaq Mangi, Ghazi Salahuddin, Umer Qureshi, MPA Waseem Hussain, Pir Mujaddid Shah, Pir Zaman Shah Jilani and MQM Zonal Incharge Kotri Muhammad Aamir Khan also addressed the public meeting.

Earlier on arrival at Toll Plaza Jamshoro, Dr Farooq Sattar was accorded a rousing welcome and brought to the venue of public meeting in a big motorcade.
