LAHORE, Dec 16: National Highways and Motorway Police, N-5 central, arrested 34 criminals in the last three days, according to a press release issued on Friday.

The accused are involved in robbery, dacoity, vehicle and animal theft, liquor trade and illegal weapon cases.

Also, the police handed over seven runaway or lost children to their families.

They foiled four attempts of dacoity and robbery, and five of vehicle snatching. The arrested criminals are: Asim, Ghulam Mujtaba, Allah Ditta, Sarfraz, Asif, Shafqat, Ijaz, Nazir and Abdul Rehman.

The police confiscated from them two cars, a van, a high-roof van and a tractor-trolley loaded with cotton.

N-5 Central DIG Dr Muhammad Shafique and IG Wajid Ali Durrani praised the efforts of patrol officers and awarded them certificates and cash.
