KARAK, Dec 4: A local court in Takht Nusrati has turned down pre-arrest bail plea of four persons, including three police officials, charged in a case of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teenaged girl.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Ehtesham Ali Khan had around two weeks ago granted interim pre-arrest bail to the four applicants, but after completion of arguments by both the parties the other day he did not confirm their bail following which they were taken into custody by the police.

The four applicants -- inspector Peer Mohsin Shah, sub-inspector Ameer Mohammad, additional sub-inspector Hakeem Khan and Qamar Ali -- were charged along with several other persons by the alleged victim (name withheld) as well as her family members with her kidnapping, keeping her in illegal confinement and sexually assaulting her.

Family members of the alleged victim stated that she was a ninth grade student at a government school and now she was pregnant as she was abused by several accused persons.

The girl was allegedly taken away by a police party during a raid on their residence at Marwathano Banda area in Sept last year. The policemen who raided the residence claimed that her brother Alamzeb was required to them in a case.

The FIR of her kidnapping was registered at police station Takht Nusrathi on Oct 9, 2010, on the order of an additional district and sessions judge at Karak when an application was moved there by her mother claiming that the police were reluctant to register the FIR.

The girl claimed of escaping from captivity when two of the accused persons were transporting her to some other place on Sept 19. Soon after her alleged recovery she recorded a statement before the court of a judicial magistrate wherein she charged several persons, including Hakeem Khan and Qamar Ali, of sexually abusing her.
