LAHORE, Nov 12: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab chapter on Saturday arrested the former computerisation consultant of all eight boards of intermediate and secondary education, Dr Majid Naeem, and also obtained his one-day physical remand from an accountability court.

The NAB officials arrested Dr Naeem when he was leaving the Lahore High Court after attending the proceedings of a judicial commission probing into irregularities in the intermediate results.

The bureau had filed a reference against Dr Naeem and accused him of misappropriating Rs2,797,850 in the Punjab University's funds and misuse of authority while being posted PU College of Information Technology principal.
