KARACHI, Nov 6: Four girls allegedly kidnapped by unknown persons on Saturday returned home on Sunday evening after their kidnappers released them, police said.

They said three sisters aged from 12 to 15 with a 12-year-old neighbour were allegedly kidnapped by unknown persons in Patel Para when they were on their way to school. However, the kidnappers freed one of them to convey their massage to the girls’ family to contact them, the police added.

The freed girl told the police that a white van was used to kidnap the girls. The matter was reported to the police and the family expressed their suspicion on Saifullah with whom they had some enmity.

The SHO of the Jamshed Quarters police station said the police took into custody some family members of the suspect, Saifullah, following which the kidnappers released the girls at Teen Hati on Sunday.

A case (FIR 373/2011) under Section 365-B, (kidnapping or abducting for extorting property, valuable security etc), 363 (punishment for kidnapping) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered at the Jamshed Quarters police station on the complaint of the victim girls’ father, Dilshad Khan.—Staff Reporter
