NAWABSHAH, Nov 4: A man, two women and a child were shot dead in a village near Sakrand on Friday.

Five armed attackers barged into a house in Kumbh Leema village in the Khadar area and opened indiscriminate fire, killing Ms Shahzadi (45), her daughter Hakimzadi (18), and relatives Shakeel Jamali (eight) and Nadeem Jamali (23).

The bodies were taken to Sakrand taluka hospital and handed over to relatives after autopsy.

The DSP of Sakrand, Sardar Chandio, said the bereaved family had lodged a case against the unknown killers, but none of its members was ready to come up with any information. Our Sukkur correspondent adds:

Two women suffered serious wounds when they came under attack by armed men of their rival tribe near Mitho Chachar village near Ubauro in Ghotki district on Friday.

The armed men opened indiscriminate fire on Sughra Chachar and Shahzadi Chachar who were busy working in an agricultural field.

They were taken to a Rahimyarkhan hospital in critical condition.

No case was registered till late Friday evening.
