KARACHI, Oct 25: Bodies of four men were found in separate parts of the city on Tuesday, police said.

Though the exact motive behind all the four killings could not be ascertained, the police authorities did not see any political motives and described them as isolated incidents driven by personal enmities.

They said that two bodies were found from a vacant plot in Surjani Town in the morning.

The bodies bore torture marks and according to a duty officer of the Surjani Town police station, the victims were strangulated. One victim was in his mid-sixties and the other was in his mid-thirties.The elder victim was wearing dhoti and kurta while the other one was clad in shalwar-kameez.

The police said that the marks of tyres at the crime-scene suggested that they were killed somewhere else and the bodies were dumped at the plot.

The bodies were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Later, the corpses were moved to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth for a want of identification.

A case (FIR 587/2011) was registered under Section 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against unknown persons at the Surjani Town police station on behalf of the State.

The bullet-riddled body of a young man was found from the Paposh Nagar graveyard on Tuesday morning, police said.

They said that the victim was later identified as Ahmedullah Siddiqui. He was shot in the head.

A duty officer at the Paposh Nagar police station said that the victim was apparently having drugs at the graveyard and it appeared that someone sitting along with him had killed him.

The victim used to work as a tailor but was jobless these days. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

An FIR (500/2011) was lodged under Section 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the PPC at the Paposhnagar police station on a complaint of the victim’s brother, Owaisullah Siddiqui.

The fourth body of the day was found from a garbage dump in the Abyssinia Lines near Sharea Faisal.

Police said that the bullet-riddled body of a young man was found within the remit of the Brigade police station. The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Wazir Khan. He was shot in the head.

They said that the victim used to work at a bakery and also supply bakery items to different shops in the city. He had gone out of the bakery on Monday evening and didn’t return. He lived in the bakery premises along with his brother Ghulam Mohammad. The brothers originally hailed from Quetta.The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for a post-mortem examination.

A case (FIR 293/2011) was registered under Section 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the PPC at the Brigade police station.

Man shot dead A man was shot dead in North Nazimabad by unidentified riders, police said on Tuesday.

They said that two unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire at 35-year-old Shahzad Khan, who was sitting at his PCO in Wahid Colony late Monday night, and fled. The victim suffered multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.

The police said the victim was not associated with any political or religious party. However, his two brothers are said to be associated with the PPP and proscribed Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan, respectively.
