PESHAWAR, Sept 29: Two persons were shot dead in different incidents, while body of a man was recovered here on Thursday, police said.

Fazal Rahim was gunned down when armed men entered his residence in Daudzai area on Charsadda road.

An official said a complainant Fazal Azeem nominated a group of local people including Asad, Irfan and Sarfaraz in the murder case.

The official said the victims’ family was facing charges of killing sister-in-law of the accused Sarfaraz who took revenge of her killing.

In another incident Mumtaz, a wagon driver, was shot dead in at Karkhano Market. A body, Haider Ali, was shot at and injured by unidentified armed men at a bus stand on Jamrud road.

The injured boy was rushed to the Hayatabad Medical Complex in critical position.

An unidentified body of a 26-year-old man was recovered from a local canal at Fatoha Abdur Rahima in limits of Chamkani police station. Police said there was no sign of violence on the body and the real cause could be ascertained after the postmortem.

FIVE ARRESTED: Police on Thursday arrested a five-member gang of dacoits and recovered Rs465,000 stolen money from them.

A police official told media persons at a press conference at Faqirabad police station the gangsters had looted the money from a local factory at gunpoint on Wednesday night.

The accused were identified as Javaid of Sardaryab Charsadda, Ibrahim of Saeedabad Mansehra, Azeem Khan of Jabba Suhail and Zakir and Naseeb of Hazarkhwani Peshawar.

“The accused after looting the money were on their way that personnel of the riders squad arrested them on suspicion,” the official said.

After the initial interrogation, he said the accused had disclosed that an employee of the factory Javaid was also involved in the case, who had opened the gate and facilitated them in reaching the amount.

The police official said two Kalashnikovs and three pistols with cartridges had also been recovered from the accused.
