CHARSADDA, Sept 27: Five members of a family were killed and two others injured when their rivals opened firing on a vehicle in Shabqadra area here on Tuesday.

According to police Mohammad Liaqat, Fasihullah, Bawra, Rizwan Shah and a child Mohammad Samiullah were killed when Qadir, Alamzeb, Iqbal, Fazal Badshah, Sajid Shah and Hussain Mohammad of Nahqi Batgra opened indiscriminate firing on a pick-up vehicle near Gulkarano Kallay.

The deceased had come to attend hearing of a case in a court and were going back when their rivals attacked the vehicle.

Driver Mushtaq and Ruhul Amin were injured in the attack. The injured Ruhul Amin lodged FIR against the accused in Shabqadar police station. The motive behind the attack was stated to be old enmity between the two families. —Correspondent
