ISLAMABAD: MQM chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday phoned President Asif Ali Zardari and inquired on his health. The MQM leader also prayed for his health.

The president on this thanked Hussain for the gesture, spokesperson for the president Farhatullah Babar said.

The two leaders discussed the floods in Sindh, law and order situation in Karachi, uncontrolled dengue virus in Punjab and other issues, DawnNews reported.

The MQM chief assured the president of his complete support in resolving issues faced by the country.

The president during the conversation updated Hussain on the relief efforts being carried out in the flood hit areas.
