KARACHI, Aug 15: A sessions court on Monday dismissed the pre-arrest bail application of a suspect in a murder case.

Sohail Ahmed along with his accomplices has been booked for allegedly killing a shopkeeper over a minor dispute within the remit of the Sharea Faisal police station in March 2009.

Earlier, the suspect, through his lawyer, moved the pre-arrest bail application and the court granted him interim bail directing him to come up on Aug 15 for bail confirmation.

After hearing arguments from both sides, an additional district and sessions judge (east) dismissed the plea on Monday and following the dismissal of the bail application, the suspect was taken into custody.

A case (FIR 175/09) was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the PPC on a complaint of the victim’s mother.
