ISLAMABAD, Aug 7: The Nilor police have unearthed a fake beverages factory which is producing spurious soft drinks of Pepsi Cola during a raid in Tumair area, the police said.

The police received information that the factory was being run under the cover of a poultry farm in Tumair area. The factory has been preparing spurious soft drinks for the last a couple of months.

Acting on information, SHO Nilor police station Inspector Tanveer Ahmed Abbassi and his team along with food department staff headed by Inspector Raja Muhammad Ashraf raided the poultry farm and unearthed the fake beverages factory.

During search, the police recovered three hundred cartons of bottles of different brands of Pepsi Cola, Mirinda and Mountain Dew. The police also arrested three workers of the factory. —Staff Reporter
