HEALTH SAFETY:

Use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets is the cheap way to keep people, especially children, safe from malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases, health experts said on Friday.

Speaking at separate functions in Titterkhel and Haqdadabad localities, they said that due to lack of awareness people did not know about the precautionary measures against malaria. The district health department had organised the functions in collaboration with the Association for Community Development (ACD).

EDO health Dr Falak Naz, ACD coordinator Zahoor Jan and DHQ hospital medical superintendent Dr Mohammad Ishaq spoke on the occasion. Teachers, students and a large number of people attended the events.
