LAHORE, July 24: A man strangled his 25-year-old married daughter allegedly to preserve his honour, in Green Town on Sunday.

The police said Sadiq, of Sherzi Town, Baggrian Chowk, with the help of his son Arsalan, overpowered Saima and strangled her with a piece of cloth. They suspected that Saima had developed an affair with some one during the period of estrangement from her husband.

Saima was married to Zahid, of Jaranwala, seven years ago, but she shifted to her parents’ home after quarreling with her husband within four months of their wedlock.
