PESHAWAR, July 23: At least four persons were killed in separate incidents in different areas of Peshawar on Saturday, police said.

A woman Shaheen was killed in mysterious condition in her house at Ameen Colony. Rauf Khan, her husband, told Bala Mani police that she was killed by robbers. “Two armed robbers tried to kill me but I escaped narrowly and my wife sustained bullets. She succumbed to her wounds before being shifted to hospital,” he told police.

He nominated Shah Hussain and Siddiqullah of Ghulam Haider Colony in the FIR, saying he was sure they were involved in the crime. Police said that efforts were made to arrest the accused but they escaped.

In another incident, Faiz was killed at Peshtakhara when two neighbours, also relatives, opened firing on each others after their children quarrelled. Police registered a case against Aslam, Tahir and Mumtaz but could not arrest them.

Similarly, a 13-year-old boy Said Ameen was killed in Khazana area reportedly by his relatives. Wali Khan, the father of the victim, told police that owners of a cotton machine, Sardar and Bahadur, brought his body and said that he died when hit by the machine.

“I am sure they have killed my son intentionally,” he alleged and added that he had no enmity with them, however, once he exchanged some hot words with them. Police said according to medical report the deceased was shot dead with a pistol. A murder case was registered against the accused, who fled their houses.
