LAHORE, July 12: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday sent 101 people to jail on judicial remand who were arrested for attacking Gulberg Town officials and police during the shifting of Kot Lakhpat fruit and vegetable market to Hadiara on Monday.

Liaqatabad police booked protesters under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The investigating officer asked the court to send all arrested people to jail as there was no need to keep them on physical remand. The officer said efforts were being made to arrest other culprits and seize weapons from them.

The court on Wednesday (today) will take up bail petitions filed by the arrested accused.
