MIRPURKHAS July 11: About a dozen people were booked for beating up a man in court premises here and trying to kidnap him on Monday.

The men who were armed attacked Arif Abbasi, beat him up and dragged him out of the court. They left him and fled after police gave them a chase. Arif Abbasi, uncle of Kareem who had married Ms Sonia a few days ago of her free will, appeared in the local court on Monday along with documents about their marriage when he came under attack.

A case was lodged at Town police station on a complaint lodged by Arif Abbasi.
