Three held for making video

ISLAMABAD, June 14: A security agency on Tuesday picked up three suspects from the air and naval headquarters where they were making video, sources told Dawn.

The official of the security agency the around the two headquarters spotted the three persons while roaming around and acted suspiciously. Later they started making video of the headquarters and immediately intercepted by the personnel deployed there.

The personnel took them in their custody and later handed over to authority concern which shifted them to unidentified location for interrogation.

During interrogation they were identified as Saeed Khan, Shahzad Khan, and Akhtar Khan and all were the native of Muhalla Abrahim Khail district Peshawar. It was further revealed that they were arrived in capital on Tuesday morning. — Staff Reporter

Bank blast case

ISLAMABAD, June 14: Law enforcement agencies investigating into the suicide attack on a private bank have collected details of the bank employees along with the transaction.

Sources said the list of employees along with their addresses and cellphone numbers were collected by the investigators for verification.

“Some of the calls were marked as doubtful and the investigators are tracing the receivers and dialers of the calls,” they added.

It was revealed that some suspicious activities spotted at I-8 Markaz by security agencies on June 5 had been brought into the knowledge of the police and the local administration. — Staff Reporter

Man’s body found

ISLAMABAD, June 14: A body of a young man was found from a drain in Sector G-9/4 on Tuesday, police said.

Some passersby spotted the body and informed the police which reached the spot and shifted it to the hospital.

The victim, who is said to be in his 20s, was yet to be identified. The police said the body was about 10 days old and it was the possibility that he might have been killed.

The police believed that he might be murdered somewhere else and later, thrown in the drain. The body was kept in the mortuary and an autopsy would be conducted to ascertain the actual cause and time of death, the police added. — Staff Reporter

Young doctors strike today

RAWALPINDI, June 14: The young doctors will observe strike today (Wednesday) and stage a protest demonstration in front of the Parliament House against the attitude of Balochistan government with young doctors.

The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab would close down the Outdoor Patients Departments (OPDs) of the three government-run hospitals including Holy Family Hospital (HFH), Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) and District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

The young doctors would gather at the HFH and march towards the Parliament House to stage the protest against the police action of Balochistan government in Quetta against the doctors, arresting 50 of them and injuring seven young doctors who were protesting to press the government to raise their salaries.— A Reporter
