TIMERGARA, June 8: The district and sessions judge, Lower Dir, on Wednesday ordered release on bail of seven People’s Students Federation (PSF) workers, who were arrested a week ago by Balamabat police when their bail plea was rejected in a case of vandalism in postgraduate college Timergara.

After their release, Fazal Hussain, Suhail Nawab, Amjad Hussain, Najeebullah, Shakeel and Tufail were brought by their colleagues in a procession to the press club, Timergara.

The PSF workers were arrested on the report of college principal for setting his office on fire and causing disturbance in educational activities.

Earlier, a local court had rejected their bail confirmation appeal and they were sent to Timergara jail. Speaking at a press conference, PSF provincial leader Alam Zeb denied charges against the workers and alleged that the principal was involved in corruption. —Correspondent
