NAWABSHAH, June 7: Two women and a man lost their lives over issues related to karo-kari and five other people for other reasons in different incidents.

Two persons were killed on the pretext of karo-kari in a village near Qazi Ahmed on Tuesday.

Latif and his brother Ali Hassan Khaskheli allegedly shot dead Akbar Chhutto, 28, in his house. Later they killed their sister Zahida, 17, in the village of Mir Khaskheli.

Police claimed that the double murder was a result of illicit relations between the two. No FIR was registered.

In another incident, a young girl was killed over the pretext of karo-kari in the village of Wali Mohammad Sundrani in the Saddar area of Jacobabad on Tuesday.

Rab Nawaz suspected that his cousin (daughter of his father's sister) Hajani, daughter of Din Mohammad Sundrani, had illicit relations with a young man of the area.

Rab Nawaz shot dead Hajani and surrendered to police with the weapon.

Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital Jacobabad for post-mortem after which the body was handed over to relatives. No case was registered till filing of this report.

In Larkana and Shahdadkot districts, two persons were killed and a man was injured in two separate incidents on Tuesday.

Two unidentified motorcyclists fired at and killed Tufail Ahmed Aarejo, 55, near an overhead bridge. The victim was going to a shop of hardware in Nazar locality on motorcycle.

Farooque Aarejo, son of the deceased, said his family had no enmity with any one.

In another incident, Suhno Chandio,45, was shot dead in the village of Kamal Khan Chandio on the outskirts of Qambar town. A stray bullet hit a passer-by Ms Began Chandio, 35, who was admitted in Chandka Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, a man was killed over an old matrimonial dispute in Goth Ali Murad Kunrani near Thull on Tuesday. Some people shot Ali Hyder Shah, 40, dead.

Police have registered a case against eight persons, including Kaleemullah Shah, on the report of son of the victim, Sultan Shah.

In Naushahro Feroze district, a shopkeeper was killed when he offered resistance during an armed robbery near Sadhoja, late on Monday night.

Sarang Chandio, 35, of the village of Habibullah Chandio was going home along with his two nephews after closing his shop in Sadhoja when four armed men tried to snatch cash and valuables from them near Sadhoja.

When Sarang offered resistance, the outlaws opened fire, injuring him seriously. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital of Moro but died in the hospital.

On Tuesday, relatives and villagers of the deceased held a demonstration on the National Highway near Sadhoja, burnt tyres and blocked the road.

Shopkeepers of the town also kept their shops closed in protest.

The SPO of Moro reached the spot and assured protesters that the accused would be arrested soon after which the protesters dispersed.
