Sources said that the bodies were brought from the mortuary of the Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi to Attock graveyard by the local administration for burial as unclaimed.

It is worth mentioning here that eight unknown bodies were recovered by the police from an abounded filing station near Haji Shah Road of Attock Khurd police station on April 17. The police sources said that out of total eight bodies, two were identified by their relatives some days back as Zarif Khan and Inamullah, residents of Peshawar district, which were handed over to them after fulfilling legal formalities. Raise in salaries rejected RAWALPINDI, June 4: The Pakistan Railways Prem Union (CBA) on Saturday staged a protest demonstration in front of the Rawalpindi Railway Station against the proposed federal budget and demanded 50 per cent increase in the government employees’ salaries.

The protesting railway workers led by Prem Union leaders Ishtiaq Aasi and Raja Yasir gathered in front of the railway station. They were carrying placards inscribed with slogans against the government.

While addressing the rally, Ishtiaq Aasi said that the 15 per cent increase in the salaries of government employees was not sufficient in view of the inflation as the daily use items had gone out of the common man’s reach.

He said, “The price hike is increasing in the country with each passing day. The labourers and salaried class are facing difficulty in managing their kitchen budget.”

Ishtiaq Aasi alleged that the government was ruining the Pakistan Railways as it allocated meager amount of Rs15 billion. He said that the government should provide bailout package to the Pakistan Railways if it was interested in bringing improvements in the organisation.

He said that the Prem union would launch a protest campaign soon against the corruption mafia in the Pakistan Railways.— A Reporter
