MANSEHRA, June 2: The anti-corruption establishment (ACE), Mansehra has registered cases against six persons including three officials of the revenue department for transferring land in the absence of the owner.

Fida Hussain of Shinkiary had moved a written complaint to the director of ACE, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that during his stay abroad the officials of the revenue department illegally transferred his 10 kanals of land in the name of Mohammad Tariq and Gul Afzal Khan. After which the case was referred to the ACE Mansehra for lodging the FIR.

During the inquiry it was proven that the land of Fida Hussain was illegally transferred.

The ACE Mansehra lodged the FIR against gardawar Mohammad Tariq, patwari Mohammad Zaheer, steno of district officer revenue Mohammad Javed, witness Laiq Khan and punchers Mohammad Tariq and Gul Afzal Khan.

Aurangzeb Khan, the inspector ACE Mansehra, on contact confirmed the registration of the FIR against the three officials and there other people in the fraud case.

FOREST POLICY: The provincial government was chalking out a new forest policy to safeguard the rights of forests owners and stop illegal cutting of trees, said MPA Abdul Sattar Khan, while speaking to reporters on Thursday.

Mr Khan said a delegation of the forests owners of Kohistan met with the Provincial Minister for Forest Wajid Ali Khan the other day and apprised him of problems faced by them.

Mr Sattar said the delegation also apprised the minister about the inquiry launched by the NAB in Kohistan.

The MPA said the forest minister assured the delegation of taking up their problems with the chief minister to solve them on priority basis.

HOUSE LOOTED: Family of man, who returned from Saudi Arabia recently, was deprived of gold ornaments, cash and other valuables worth about Rs1 million in Shawal Dara area in Balakot.

Zahoor Hussain, lodging FIR with the Balakot police, said six armed men barged into his house late in the night and after locking all the family members in a room decamped with a cash of Rs150,000, gold ornaments weighing 350 grams, electric appliances, wrist watches and other valuables.

Mr Zahoor said the dacoits also removed gold ornaments from the ears and wrists of the women.

He said when his parents put up resistance the dacoits severely beat them.
