MIRPURKHAS, May 11: The district and sessions judge of Mirpurkhas has set 64 bonded labourers at liberty after recording their statements here on Wednesday.

On the complaint of one Akram Bhatti, the judge had ordered the SHO of the Taluka police station to recover the detained labourers from the brick kiln of Hakim Ali Kaimkhani.

Police raided and recovered 40 labourers, including women and children.On another complaint, the court had ordered the SHO of the Kot Ghulam Mohammad police to recover 24 peasants. Police raided the farm of Abdul Rauf Arain and recovered 24 peasants from the illegal confinement. The recovered labourers were produced in the court.—Correspondent
