Robber jailed

KARACHI, May 6: A sessions court on Friday sentenced a man to four years in prison in a robbery case.

Ali Nawaz was found guilty of robbing the home of a lawyer within the remit of the Sukhan police station in June 2006.

The court also ordered the accused to pay a fine of Rs50,000 and in case of default he would have to spend an additional period of six months in prison.

According to the prosecution, the accused along with his two absconding accomplices broke into the house of Advocate Tufail Ahmed and looted jewellery, cash and other valuables.—Staff Reporter
