QUETTA, April 26: A constable of the Balochistan Constabulary was killed and three others, including an officer, were injured when a landmine exploded in Chatter area of Dera Murad Jamali on Tuesday.

According to sources the Balochistan Constabulary personnel was on a routine patrol when their pick-up was hit by the landmine.

The blast blew up police vehicle, killing constable Faiz Mohammad on the spot.

“A BC sub-inspector is among the injured,” the sources said. The injured were identified as Nazar Mohammad, Mohammad Rafiq and Abdul Wahab.

Meanwhile, gas pipeline was blown up in Loti gas field, suspending supply to the plant.

“A large portion of the pipeline was blown up in the explosion,” Levies sources said, adding that repair work could not be taken up till late evening.
