ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar on Monday apprised the National Assembly that the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project would hopefully be completed by 2015, which would help bridge the increasing gap between demand and supply of gas.
"We are supposed to start taking gas through Pak-Iran gas pipeline project from Dec 2015," the minister said while responding to a supplementary question during the question-hour session.
At this stage, Naveed Qamar said, there was no proposal under consideration to include another country in the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project.
He said a team of experts was going to visit Tehran on Tuesday to discuss the general sales agreements with Iranian authorities.
