Enmity claims life

ISLAMABAD, April 6: A man hiding in the capital after murdering two persons in Charsadda was also murdered by his rival group on Tuesday night, police said

Mohammad Sayed, 35, was returning home along with his brother when some gunmen ambushed him near Anti-Car Lifting Cell in I-10/1 killing him on the spot.

At the time of incident the victim was talking on phone while his brother went inside the wooded area to attend the call of nature. The attackers after confirming that their target has died escaped from the scene. — Staff Reporter One killed in accident

ATTOCK, April 6: A person was run over by a speedy car while he was standing at a bus stop of Dhok Itabar on Kohar-Rawalpindi Road.

Police said on Wednesday that Jehandad was standing at the bust stop of Dhoke Itabar village on Kohat-Pindi road when he was hit by an over speeding car on Tuesday evening. As a result he sustained serious injuries. He succumbed to the injuries on way to the hospital. The car driver escaped from the scene leaving his vehicle behind, which was impounded by the police.

Meanwhile, a pickup driver Muhammad Ashraf reported to the Saddar police that he was injured by Muhammad Asif, resident of Boota village over a minor dispute. — Correspondent 2 booked for harassing woman

CHAKWAL, April 6: Two persons were booked by the local police on Wednesday following the orders of the additional district and sessions judge on the charges of harassing a woman.

Noor Bibi, resident of Syedpur village, contended in the court that she was alone at her house when Mumtaz Ahmad and his brother Zaheer Abbas entered. She alleged that Mumtaz had beaten her with a stick while Zaheer Abbas tore her clothes. — Correspondent
