ISLAMABAD, April 6: An alleged human trafficker was remanded in three-day custody of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) by the senior civil judge on Wednesday.
The FIA's anti-human trafficking wing requested Senior Civil Judge Mohammad Aslam Gondal for the seven-day custody of the accused to recover the money he had taken from complainant Mohammad Boota and to conduct further inquiries.The accused Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam was arrested by the FIA's anti-human trafficking cell as he was found involved in human smuggling and fraudulent practices. He had allegedly taken Rs230,000 from Mohammad Boota promising him to send him to England but later disappeared without fulfilling the promise.
The victim Mr Boota lodged a complaint with FIA's anti-human trafficking wing which arrested the accused and recovered the passport of the victim from his custody. —Staff Reporter
