MARDAN, March 16: Two persons were shot dead in Rustam city on Wednesday, police said.

Rustam police quoted Syed Arshid Hussain as saying that his relative Syed Habib gunned down his brother Syed Javid Hussain in Jalal village over a matrimonial dispute.

The police registered a murder case against the accused Syed Habib on the complaint of Syed Arshid Hussian.

It was also said that a relative of the victim, identified as Anwar Ali Shah, killed his own brother Syed Ibrahim Shah at the Dua ceremony of Syed Javid after exchanging harsh words over the said matrimonial dispute.

Anwar Ali and his brother Syed Ibrahim had come from Marghuz area of Swabi to condole the death of Javid.

The police lodged an FIR against the accused Anwar Ali Shah. Both the killers fled the scene soon after committing the heinous crimes.

PRIVATE SCHOOLS: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mardan will take stern action against those private educational institutions which have been violating the Peshawar High Court decision regarding fee concession to siblings studying in the same school, says a press release issued on Wednesday.

The officials of BISE said they had received several complaints that private educational organisations of the city had been viola- ting verdict of the PHC regarding fee concession to siblings.

As per the court decision, the private schools are bound to take full fee from the elder sibling and half from the younger one, they added.

The officials, however, made it clear that the violators would not only be heavily fined but their educational institutions' registrations would also be suspended.
